About Yasmin

 

In pursuit of wellness, Yasmin researched alternative healing approaches after conventional doctors were unable to help her severe autoimmune based eczema and skin infections. She tried herbs, acupuncture, naturopathic medicine, homeopathy, fasting, juicing and elimination diets. She learned about Wim Hoff Method to heal autoimmunity, cold baths and mind - body medicine and meditation. Then, Yasmin found Shawn, who took her healing to the next level.

 

Her tireless efforts to heal resulted in her finally getting her life back, while also acquiring hands on knowledge about healing chronic illness.

 

Her journey sparked a passion to pursue holistic medicine.

Yasmin now helps rehabilitate those suffering from chronic disease as a Clinical Assistant and is undergoing professional development training with a number of world renowned organizations, including MediTech Rehabilitation Centre Inc., and completed an apprenticeship, including over 2600 hours of training, with the Center for Holistic Healthcare & Education Inc.

She is empathetic, compassionate and takes great care to create a safe and welcoming space for those suffering from chronic illness so that they are fully supported on their journey. 

She is a talented photographer and dancer. She worked in community development and politics for many years, and is a fierce activist for causes she believes in. She’s also a loving mother to a wonderful child and advocate for postpartum support and maternal mental health.
